Grinding Since 2002

My journey into Boat Building, Designing, and lifestyle hospitality has been anything but conventional. Who would have guessed that a lifelong sailor with an engineering background, an international business degree, and an MBA specialized in the Wine Sharing Industry would one day become a yacht builder — and blend it all into a vision for shared yachts, sailing clubs, and retreats where people reconnect with life itself at a fraction of the cost of ownership?

Certainly not me — but life has a way of setting the sails.

Early on in life, I used to manage complex sales forces across multiple industries in Europe and South America. At first glance, those worlds couldn’t be further apart from sailing, but they taught me an essential truth: people don’t buy products, they buy experiences/results. That insight shaped everything that came after.

At the height of my corporate career, I chose a different course. I launched one of the earliest shared-ownership boating models, giving people access to premium powerboats without the burden of traditional ownership. From there, the ventures kept expanding: while managing a premium property, a resort in Golden North Palm Beach, Florida, I was simultaneusly creating WAHINE Yachts in beautiful Rhode Island, a small premium shipyard to build the semi-custom sailing yacht, the WAHINE LIFESTYLE.

The very first Wahine Lifestyle Cruisers were built in Bristol, RI, learning from Jeff Johnston (founder of J Boats) and the DaPonte family, inside the legendary C&C facility.

By 2017, Wahine debuted at the Newport and Annapolis Boat Shows — prestigious platforms for showcasing innovation and craftsmanship, and from there, a massive passage came along.

I founded W Sailing Club in San Francisco and Linked 4 Sailing in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to blend hospitality, Yachting, and retreats. Now, I am launching OCEAN CELLAR in Mexico — the sailing and wine experience unlike any other.

During Covid, WAHINE needed to search for new ways to keep beating upwind safely and with speed, reaching a tough windward mark, shifting from WAHINE YACHTS to what is today FARO YACHTS.

Each step reinforced my belief that sailing isn’t just about premium yachts, but about a lifestyle “software.”

Now my focus is bigger: creating iconic sailing hubs where both our PREMIUM YACHTS and the LIFESTYLE meet — under controlled environments of exploration, discovery, and reconnection. From Baja California to Buenos Aires, from Newport to San Francisco, the vision is the same: to share the yachtsman’s lifestyle with explorers who crave more than just a trip.

This Is the DNA of FARO

Not just a boat-building company.
Not just a lifestyle concept.

But a living, breathing movement — built with soul and intention.

Because a better way to live is possible — if you’re willing to chart your own course.
